Frogs advance to semi-finals

WACO, Texas- TCU finished the quarterfinal round of the Varsity Equestrian National Championships against Baylor Friday morning. TCU, needing just one point in the Reining to advance, defeated the Bears 5-3 to advance to the semi-finals in the Western bracket.
TCU will have its first ever matchup with Kansas State, who defeated Texas A&M in a tiebreaker after tying in total points 4-4.
In the Reining, Chloe Baker was the lone Frog to earn a point for the team, defeating her opponent 138-136.5. It was her first action in the Reining since October.
With the win the Frogs improve to 13-0 on the season, and are just two wins away from their first ever National Championship. Action will resume at 1 p.m. with the Consolation bracket, and TCU will compete later this afternoon in the Champions bracket. You can stay up to date on all the action on gofrogs.com.
