FORT WORTH, Texas - Lizzy Karoly netted two goals to lead TCU past Iowa State on Friday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. TCU upended the Cyclones, 3-0.
"The girls played well and it was a good start to our spring season. Overall, I was very happy with our creativity in the middle of the field," said head coach Dan Abdalla.
Karoly put the Horned Frogs on the scoreboard, netting her first goal in the first half. Following intermission, the sophomore once again found the back of the net to give TCU the 2-0 advantage.
Finally, freshman Jackie Torda closed out the night scoring an insurance goal to give the Frogs the 3-0 victory.
TCU moved to 1-0-0 in spring action, while ISU dropped to 0-1-0.
