TCU is coming off of an upset victory over No. 16 William & Mary on Sunday, marking the highest rated opponent the Horned Frogs have defeated under Head Coach Jefferson Hammond's tenure. Anna Sydorska added her fourth consecutive singles win, while freshmen Idunn Hertzberg and Katariina Tuohimaa won the last two singles matches to seal the victory. The No. 11 TCU duo of Macall Harkins and Sydorska defeated William & Mary's 26th-ranked tandem to clinch the crucial doubles point in the 4-3 win.
SMU comes to Fort Worth on Wednesday after shutting out Houston and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the last two matches to push its season record to 8-2. The Mustangs are led by junior Natalia Bubien, who is currently ranked No. 73 in singles play. The SMU duo of Kseniia Tokarieva and Nicole Briceno is ranked No. 38 in doubles action.
TCU leads the overall series that dates back to 1975 by a 25-16 advantage. The Frogs blanked the Mustangs by a score of 7-0 last season in Dallas, where TCU swept all nine matches.
