
Frogs close home stand against Dallas Baptist

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs (1-2) will look to close out their four-game season-opening home stand with a victory when they host Dallas Baptist Tuesday night. The Patriots and the Frogs will square off in the first of three meetings this season. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.

TCU NOTABLES
This past weekend, the Horned Frogs saw their streak of 16 straight series victories come to an end against #14 CS Fullerton.
The Frogs were led at the plate by Matt Vern, who hit .417 with six RBIs.
On the mound, the Frogs got an outstanding effort from sophomore Steven Maxwell, who earned the Frogs lone win.
Cal State Fullerton is one of seven schools on the Frogs schedule that appear in the various polls.
The Frogs are one of just 20 schools to appear in the last four Regionals and one of just three Texas schools to accomplish that feat.
LUPTON STADIUM NOTES
The Frogs own a record of 111-42 in the five-year history of the stadium.
The Frogs' tallied the series attendance record this past weekend as 7,486 fans passed through the turnstiles.
TCU is 90-33 at Lupton under Coach Schlossnagle.
DALLAS BAPTIST NOTABLES
Recovered from dropping their season opener against Missouri State to win two on Saturday.
Four Patriots hit over .400 on the weekend with Austin Knight leading the way at .462.
They are 1-0 on the road this season, beating UT-Arlington 4-3 at Clay Gould Ballpark.
SERIES BASE KNOCKS
TCU and DBU will be meeting for the 51st time on the diamond Tuesday night.
TCU leads the series 33-17 after taking the only meeting between the schools in 2007.
Jim Schlossnagle is 5-4 all-time against Dallas Baptist.
The Frogs took a 6-5 victory over the Patriots in 12 innings a year ago at Lupton Stadium.
