The TCU football team made jumps in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches' Polls released Tuesday afternoon. The Horned Frogs moved up to 19th in both sets of rankings after beginning the season rated 22nd. It is the squad's highest ranking in nearly a year, as the team climbed to a high of No. 16 in the AP poll in September of 2006.
The Frogs are riding a nine-game winning streak, which ranks fourth nationally, following Saturday's 27-0 season-opening victory over Baylor. This week's opponent, Texas, fell to No. 7 in both polls after starting the campaign at No. 4.
TCU is the lone Mountain West Conference team to garner a Top-25 ranking this season, although BYU received votes in both polls this week.
Included below are the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today with first-place votes in parentheses, last year's record and total points received.
