GoFrogs.com recently caught up with junior defender Sara Schneider as she prepares for the 2007 season.
A native of Midland, Texas, Schneider started 16 matches at defender last fall and helped TCU post its second-lowest goals against average in school history.
GoFrogs.com: What have you worked on this summer to make yourself a better soccer player?
Sara Schneider: I really have been working on my fitness as well as eating right. The team has also gone out and played little side games.
GF: How excited are you for this upcoming season?
SS: I'm really excited to have the new girls come in because they are all really strong players and will help us out. I can't wait to play with the new girls.
GF: What would you like to accomplish this upcoming season as a player?
SS: I want to score some goals because I don't get too many opportunities as a defender.
GF: What would you like the team to accomplish this upcoming season?
SS: I really want a ring, but if I can't have that then I would really like for us to win the conference and conference tournament.
GF: How has your summer gone so far?
SS: The summer has been great. I have just been working out with the girls everyday and going to class. I wish it would stop raining though.
GF: What is something that you have done for fun this summer?
SS: I went down to Ruidoso, N.M., one weekend with my boyfriend's family and shopped. My sister got married which was really fun.
GF: If you could play any other collegiate sport, what would it be?
SS: I'd say volleyball.
GF: What type of music do you like to listen to?
SS: I like anything, but classic rock is my favorite.
GF: What is the last book you read?
SS: I'm embarrassed, but Harry Potter.
