OVERVIEW:TCU allowed just nine touchdown passes last season to tie for the fifth-lowest total in the nation. In their three-safety lineup, the Frogs return starters Brian Bonner (5-11, 199, Sr.) and David Roach (6-2, 215, Sr.) while looking to replace graduated first-team All-Mountain West Conference selection and fourth-round NFL draft pick Marvin White. Bonner, a playmaker on defense and special teams, was a second-team All-MWC pick from his strong safety position. After starting at free safety last season, Roach is now at weak safety. The senior from Abilene, Texas, totaled 33 tackles in 2006 while his four pass break-ups tied for third on the team. Steven Coleman (6-3, 204, Jr.) enters the fall as the starter at free safety. Stephen Hodge (6-0, 212, Jr.), TCU's 2006 Special Teams Most Valuable Player, had 25 solo tackles among his 30 stops last year. He'll add depth along with fellow returnees Corderra Hunter (6-2, 202, So.) and Colin Jones (6-0, 205, RFr.).
