
Greg Blackwell named TCU Frog Club Assistant Director

FORT WORTH, Texas - Greg Blackwell has been named the Assistant Director of the TCU Frog Club as announced by the Director of the Frog Club, John Denton. Blackwell comes to TCU after serving the previous 10 years as Director of Communications for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
"We're very excited to have Greg on-board with the TCU Frog Club," said Denton. "He comes highly recommended from many people throughout the college sports world. His history and experience with the Sugar Bowl and all its events certainly brings a valuable skills set to our team."
While with the Sugar Bowl, Blackwell was responsible for managing media operations for the bowl, which held the BCS National Championship game on two occasions. Blackwell also created and managed the Sugar Bowl's website, as well as coordinating the Sugar Bowl's Hall of Fame banquet and annual awards banquet.
As Assistant Director of the Frog Club, Blackwell will be responsible for managing the events and assets of the TCU Lettermen's Association, overseeing football game day operations, and maintaining the TCU Frog Club website.
In addition to serving as Assistant Director of the Frog Club, Blackwell also works as the Public Relations Director for the Manning Passing Academy held every July. The prestigious quarterback camp is hosted by Archie, Peyton, Eli and Cooper Manning on the Nicholls State University campus in Thibodaux, La.
A 1992 graduate of the University of Memphis, Blackwell served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army's elite 82nd Airborne Division. Blackwell and his wife, Lydia, reside in Fort Worth with their son, Christian.
