GoFrogs.com recently caught up with cross country runner Halie Bullin as she prepares for her senior season with the women's cross country program.
In 2006, Bullin competed in the first three meets and opened the season at the Bear Relays with a ninth-place finish. On the track, she closed out the year placing fifth in the 5000 meters at the MWC Outdoor Championships.
GoFrogs.com: What do you need to work on this summer to make yourself a better runner?
Halie Bullin: I need to work on my self discipline, especially when it comes to eating right and getting enough sleep.
GF: With this being your last season how excited are you for this upcoming season?
HB: I am really excited about this season. I guess I'm more sad about the fact that it will be my last year competing at TCU.
GF: How has your summer gone so far?
NB: My summer has been going really well. It's always fun to go back home and train with old teammates from high school.
GF: What would you like to accomplish this upcoming season as a runner?
HB: I would just like to complete a season without getting hurt and know that I gave it my all.
GF: What would you like the team to accomplish this upcoming season?
HB: I would love for the team to qualify for nationals.
GF: What's the last movie you saw?
HB: The last movie I saw was Harry Potter and I didn't have a clue as to what was going on because I never read the fifth book.
GF: What is your favorite thing to do off the field?
HB: I like to hang out with friends and go to a coffee shop and read. I usually do homework though.
GF: If you could play any other collegiate sport, what would it be?
HB: Tennis
GF: Your major is speech pathology, how did you get interested in that area?
HB: My cousin takes his daughter to a speech pathologist and his wife told me about it. I just became really interested in it.
