
Banda has strong showing in Belgium

HEUSDEN, Belgium - Former TCU sprinter Lewis Banda was in competition at the KBC Night of Athletics meeting in Belgium on Saturday.
Banda, a native of Zimbabwe, crossed the finish line in 45.73 to finish second overall in the men's 400 meters. Rock Andrew of the United State's won the competition with a time of 45.39.
At TCU, Banda earned three All-America honors at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He placed fourth in the men's 400 meters and anchored both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay squads. A member of the TCU program in 2006, Banda holds the school record in the indoor 400 meters.
