
Hodge places fourth in 200 at Pan American Games

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - TCU sprinter Virgil Hodge placed fourth overall in the women's 200-meter finals on Friday at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil.
Hodge, a native of St. Kitts, crossed the finish line with a time of 23.06 at João Havelange Stadium. Roxana Diaz of Cuba turned in the fastest mark of the day with a time of 22.80.
Earlier in the week, Hodge posted a sixth-place finish in the women's 100-meter finals by logging a time of 11.40.
Hodge also competed for the St. Kitts & Nevis 4x100 relay team on Friday. She teamed with three others to place second in their heat and fifth overall. The unit qualified for Saturday's final with a time of 44.11.
Hodge will resume action at João Havelange Stadium on Saturday.
