
Rifle in fourth place at NCAA Championships

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The TCU women's rifle team sits in fourth place after day one of the NCAA Rifle Championships. The Frogs completed the smallbore portion of the competition with a score of 2,293. Erin Lorenzen was the top shooter for the Frogs with a 579.
Defending National Champion, Alaska-Fairbanks paced the competition on Friday, posting a team score of 2,308. The tally puts them just one point ahead of Army as the Black Knights shot a 2,307 in the competition. Sitting in third place, just six points ahead of the Frogs are the Kentucky Wildcats with a score of 2,299.
Factoring in TCU's aggregate total were Emily Paper, who shot a 572, followed by Lauren Sullivan and Simone Riford with a score of 571.
The teams will complete the championships on Saturday with the air rifle competition.
