FORT WORTH, Texas - The 17th-ranked TCU women's tennis team will host No. 63 Mississippi on Sunday at noon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Frogs (3-3) will look to bounce back from a tough loss at Texas A&M on Thursday, where the women fell 5-2. The Rebels will also look to get back in the win column after dropping their last two matches.
The series between the two schools dates back to 1991, with Ole Miss holding a 3-0 advantage. The two teams have not faced each other since 1998, when the Rebels defeated TCU 7-2 in Oxford, Miss.
TCU features three individual players who are currently ranked in singles, with Ana Cetnik (No. 23), Nina Munch-Soegaard (No. 60) and Anna Sydorska (No. 88). After dropping her first two matches of the season, Sydorska has reeled off four consecutive singles victories. Munch-Soegaard has also impressed, putting together a 3-0 record against nationally-ranked opponents.
Cetnik and Sydorska are also ranked as the third-best doubles tandem in the country, which is the highest ranking in TCU women's history. The duo is 3-1 on the season, with a three-match winning streak.
