Wash added to Ray Guy Award Watch List

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- TCU's Derek Wash has been added to the Ray Guy Award Watch List as the nation's top punter.
Wash is second in the Mountain West Conference and 16th nationally with a 43.8-yard average. It's a mark on pace to rank fourth on TCU's single-season chart.
A senior from Arlington, Texas, Wash is averaging 6.6 yards more than his career average (37.2) entering the season. Fourteen of his 44 punts have gone inside the opponent 20-yard line with just five touchbacks. Wash had career-long 63-yard punts in consecutive weeks at Texas and Air Force.
For his career, Wash has placed 18-of-61 kicks (29.5 percent) inside the 20.
