
Horned Frogs set for tussle with Bears Wednesday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frog volleyball squad will play its final non-conference match of the season when it hosts Baylor Wednesday night at the University Rec Center. The Frogs are coming off a 1-1 conference trip that saw them beat Air Force and fall to Wyoming. Match time is set for 7 p.m.

TCU Horned Frogs
The Frogs have surpassed their win total from last year and now sit at 18-8 on the season entering tonight's match.
TCU will play its final non-conference opponent of the season when it hosts Baylor. The Frogs are 13-3 against non-conference opponents, including an 8-1 mark at home.
Kourtney Edwards leads the Frogs with 326 kills on the season and 116 blocks.
For the third straight season, Nirelle Hampton surpassed the 1000 assist mark. She is currently second all-time on the career assists chart.
Baylor Bears
Baylor enters the match on a two-game winning streak after back-to-back five-set victories at Kansas and against Colorado.
The Bears are led by Katie Sanders' 4.24 kills per game and Anna Breyfogle's 1.61 blocks per game.
Defensively Sarah Grace is the leader, averaging 4.49 digs per game.
Taylor Barnes runs the offense as the primary setter, averaging 11.85 assists per game.
The TCU vs. Baylor Series
Wednesday's meeting will be the fourth in the series.
The Bears lead the series 3-0.
The Frogs and the Bears have not met on the court since the 2000 campaign with Baylor winning 3-0.
Associate Head Coach Jason Tanaka was an assistant at Baylor the last time the Bears traveled to Fort Worth.
Baylor won the meeting, 3-1, the only such meeting in Fort Worth.
The Bears also took a 3-0 win in Denton back in 1996.
