COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The TCU Horned Frog volleyball squad kicks off the second round of conference action Thursday night at Air Force. The Frogs finished the first round of conference play with a 4-4 record and are currently tied for fifth in the conference. Following Thursday's match, the Frogs will head to Wyoming for a rematch with the Cowgirls. Both matches are slated for an 8 p.m. (CST) start.
The Frogs are coming off a five-set victory over San Diego State this past weekend which wrapped up the first half of the MWC season. TCU finished with a 4-4 record on its first tour against league foes. The Frogs also improved to 17-7 on the season, matching last season's win total.
TCU vs. Air Force Series History
The Frogs and the Falcons rivalry dates back to the 1998 season when both were members on the Western Athletic Conference. TCU has had its way in this season, holding a 6-2 advantage, including four straight. The Frogs only two losses to the Falcons have come on the road.
TCU vs. Wyoming Series History
TCU will wrap up play for the week when they head to Laramie for a rematch with Wyoming. The Cowgirls controlled the series, winning the first five matches the teams played from 1996-98, but the series has evened out since the Frogs joined the Mountain West. In the three years they've both won on their home courts. TCU took a 3-1 decision earlier this season in Fort Worth.
