DALLAS -- TCU placekicker Chris Manfredini has been named a semifinalist for The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 2007 Draddy Trophy, recognizing combined academic success, football performance and exemplary community leadership.
A graduate student and Colleyville, Texas, native, Manfredini is 33-of-39 (84.6 percent) on field-goal attempts in his three years at TCU. When including a 10-of-11 mark for Cincinnati in 2003, Manfredini is 43-of-50 (86.0 percent) in his collegiate career.
Manfredini's 33 field goals at TCU leave him two shy of tying Lee Newman (1986-88) and Ken Ozee (1982-85) for fifth on the Horned Frogs' career list.
A two-time All-Mountain West Conference selection, Manfredini received his Bachelor's degree in supply and value chain management.
Finalists for the 2007 Draddy Award will be announced Oct. 25.
