Frogs look to continue success against Wyoming

FORT WORTH--With the momentum of back-to-back victories over SMU and Colorado State, the TCU football team heads to Wyoming for the first of two straight road games.
Gary Patterson is 2-0 as a head coach versus Wyoming. He was 0-1 against the Cowboys as an assistant coach.
THE SERIES
TCU and Wyoming are meeting for just the fourth time on the gridiron with the Frogs holding a 2-1 series lead.
TCU won 28-14 in Laramie in 2005 before a 26-3 victory in Fort Worth last season.
The only pre-MWC game between the teams was a 34-27 Wyoming win in Fort Worth in 1998 when both teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference. TCU head coach Gary Patterson was in his first season as the Frogs' defensive coordinator.
WHEN LAST IN LARAMIE
The TCU defense forced seven turnovers, including four in the first half, as the Frogs recorded a 28-14 win at Wyoming on Oct. 8, 2005. It was TCU's first visit to Laramie.
TCU scored 16 points in the final 1:42 of the second quarter to lead 28-7 at the half.
After Aaron Brown took a shovel pass from Jeff Ballard and raced 13 yards into the end zone to give TCU a 19-7 advantage with 1:42 left before intermission, Chase Ortiz forced a Wyoming fumble on the Cowboys' second play of their ensuing series. Robert Henson scooped up the loose ball and ran 22 yards into the end zone to give TCU a 25-7 lead. Peter LoCoco's 52-yard field goal on the final play of the first half gave the Frogs their 28-7 margin at the break.
For the game, Wyoming held a 293-257 edge in total offense.
ROAD WARRIORS
TCU is 18-9 (.667) in road and neutral-site games since the start of the 2003 season, placing it in a tie for ninth nationally in the Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A).
The Frogs are 8-3 while allowing 17.0 points per game in their last 11 road contests.
KEY NOTES
TCU has won 11 of its last 13 games and 25-of-30 dating back to 2005.
In the first half of its last 13 contests, TCU has outscored its opponents 264-26. The margin is 72-13, including 55-3 in the second quarter, in 2007.
The Frogs have only allowed two touchdowns through the opening three quarters of their games this season. TCU has surrendered just one first-half touchdown.
With Gary Patterson as head coach, TCU is 38-0 when allowing 17 points or less. Overall, the Frogs have won 53 consecutive games when holding the opponent to 17-or-fewer points. The streak began after a 17-7 loss at Northwestern on Sept. 11, 1999.
