The Horned Frogs Against the Cowboys
• Wyoming leads the all-time series 4 games to 3 and has won two straight meetings.
• The Cowboys won the two games last year by a total of just six points.
• Five of the seven contests have been decided by five points or less.
• TCU is 0-2 in Laramie, as the Cowboys have a two-point win and a three-point overtime victory over the Frogs in their arena.
Former Frog at the Helm
• Wyoming head coach Steve McClain served as an assistant coach at TCU for four seasons (1994-95 through 1997-98).
• He is the second former Horned Frog assistant to face TCU as a head coach at another school this season, joining Rob Flaska (Centenary).
Four is Enough
• TCU currently is in a season-long four-game losing streak after matching a season best with three consecutive victories.
• After holding 10 consecutive opponents to 70 points or less, three of TCU's last four foes have surpassed the 70-point mark.
• Opponents have averaged 74.0 points per game over the last five games after scoring just 53.5 over the previous six games.
• From Nov. 24 through Jan. 6, the Horned Frogs limited 10 consecutive teams to 70 or under. It was the first time a Frog team accomplished that feat since the 1986-87 season, when TCU held 13 opponents in a row under that total (Jan. 7-Feb. 21, 1987).
Needing Some Shots to Drop
• TCU shot 48.2 percent (41-of-85) from the floor during the team's 2-0 start to league play, but has made just 36.7 percent (79-of-215) of its shots in its four consecutive losses.
• In addition, the Frogs went 35-for-45 (.778) from the free throw line in the wins and 51-for-92 in the two losses (.554).
• TCU scored 67.5 points per game in the two Horned Frog league wins and 56.0 in the defeats.
3-Ball Corner Pocket
• In TCU's 10 wins this season, the Horned Frogs have made 68-of-184 (.370) attempts from beyond the arc, while their opponents have hit just 51-of-186 (.274).
• However, in the Frogs' eight defeats, the team is 35-of-140 (.250) from 3-point range, while opponents have connected on 68-of-139 (.489).
Getting One on the Road
• TCU's win at Utah on Jan. 6 was its first conference road victory since defeating Tulane (Conference USA) in New Orleans on Feb. 23, 2005.
• TCU had lost nine straight league road games, including all eight in the MWC last season.
• It was the first time that TCU won its first conference road game of the season since 2004, when the Frogs earned a 55-54 win at Houston on a putback at the buzzer.
