
Hodge Shows Well at Central American and Caribbean Games

CARTAGENA, Colombia - Participating in the 20th Central American and Caribbean Games from July 25-29 at the Pedro de Heredia Sports Complex, incoming junior Virgil Hodge placed second in the 200 meters and third in the 100 meters.
Hodge, a native of St. Kitts, ran a 23.09 in the final of the women's 200 to place second. Competing in the final of the women's 100, Hodge ran an 11.52 to place third.
Hodge advanced to final of the 100 by placing second in the second semifinal heat with a time of 11.34.
The 20th Central American and Caribbean Games featured over a dozen Olympic and World Championships gold medalists. In all, over 500 athletes from 31 of the 32 member countries of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization competed in the meet. The Central American and Caribbean Games are the world's oldest regional games.
