TCU football picked to repeat as MWC champion

CORONADO, Calif. -- The TCU football team has been picked to repeat as league champion in a preseason media poll released Monday by the Mountain West Conference. The announcement was made at the MWC Media Blitz.
The Horned Frogs gathered 16 of 29 first-place votes to total 213 points. BYU placed second with 192 points. Four teams received at least one first-place vote.
Included below is the 2006 Mountain West Conference preseason poll with points received (first-place votes in parentheses).
