TCU ties for 17th at NCAA Central Regional

BRYAN, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team closed its season Saturday by tying for 17th place at the NCAA Division I Women's Central Regional at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas.
No. 6 USC shot a final round 2-under-par 286 to overtake No. 1 Duke for the team championship. The Trojans finished the tournament at 19-over 883, two strokes ahead of the Blue Devils.
Camille Blackerby had TCU's best finish for the sixth time in 11 tournaments this season. The junior from Breckenridge, Texas, tied for 35th with a 15-over-par 231.
Elin Emanuelsson and Catherine Matranga both carded a final round 78 for the Horned Frogs' low score on the day. Emanuelsson and Matranga placed 55th and 58th, respectively.
TCU, making its 11th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance, returns all but one player next year. Traci Robison was the lone senior on the 2005-06 roster.
