
Blackerby keys TCU's second round at NCAA Regional

BRYAN, Texas -- Camille Blackerby carded a 2-over-par 74 to move into a tie for 19th place individually during Friday's second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Central Regional in Bryan, Texas.The Horned Frogs shot a 25-over 313, six strokes better than their first-round effort. Making its 11th straight postseason appearance, TCU is in 14th place with a two-day score of 632 (+56).
No. 1 Duke is three shots ahead of sixth-ranked USC for the team lead. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA National Championships May 23-26 in Columbus, Ohio. The Frogs are 12 strokes behind eighth-place Kent State.
Blackerby's score was the Frogs' low mark on the day. Catherine Matranga was at 6-over-par 78 and is tied for 53rd overall with a 158 (+14). Elin Emanuelsson is in a deadlock for 45th with a 36-hole score of 157 (+13).
Saturday's final round at the Traditions Golf Club starts at 7:30 a.m. The TCU contingent will begin play at 11:50 a.m. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com.
