
Brennan named TCU's director of athletics compliance

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Athletics Department has announced the promotion of Kyle Brennan to director of athletics compliance.Brennan, who came to TCU in April 2005 as assistant director of compliance, replaces Marc Evans who resigned to enter private business.
Brennan has been responsible for overseeing rules education as it pertains to coaches, staff, student-athletes, prospects and donors. In addition to his assistance with monitoring issues, Brennan has also directed the TCU Athlete Agent Relations Program.
"We are very excited to have Kyle as our new director of compliance," TCU athletics director Danny Morrison said. "Kyle will provide outstanding leadership in a very important role. He has an excellent background and is a wonderful fit in our department. This promotion is well deserved."
A native of Lynden, Wash., and a 1998 graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., Brennan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 2001. Additionally, he has begun work on his M.S. in Sport Management with Northern Illinois University.
Before arriving at TCU, Brennan worked in the compliance office at Northern Illinois. In addition to his duties of education and monitoring, he taught an undergraduate course in sport law.
Brennan began his intercollegiate athletics career at Colorado Christian University, where he served on the Athletic Advisory Committee while working in the compliance office.
Brennan is licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado and was a partner in the firm of King & Hart, LLC of Castle Rock, Colo., until 2004. While practicing law in Colorado, Brennan served on the Board of Directors for CLC, a non-profit organization owning nursing homes in the Rocky Mountain region and PCD, a non-profit counseling agency with offices throughout the Denver area.
Kyle and his wife, Beth, have two sons: Patrick, 3, and Mac, born Dec. 21, 2005.
