
Lacy, Barbu named TCU Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Women's basketball standout Natasha Lacy and men's tennis player Radu Barbu have been named the TCU Student-Athletes of the Week, the athletics department announced on Wednesday.
Lacy, a 5-foot-10-inch guard from El Paso, Texas, scored a career-high 31 points in the Frogs' 84-79 victory over Air Force on Thursday. For the week, Lacy averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks. She also shot 48.1 percent from the floor and was 50 percent from 3-point range.
Barbu, hailing from Pitesti, Romania, went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles for the week as the men's tennis team knocked off No. 23 Texas Tech on Friday and followed with a victory over No. 30 San Diego on Sunday.
The Lady Frogs return to action tonight when they host Colorado State at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
Men's tennis hits the courts again on Friday when it welcomes Denver to the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
