- TCU's win was the 47th of Gary Patterson's six-year tenure as TCU's head coach, tying him with Francis Schmidt (1929-33) for third on the Frogs' career chart. Next on the list is Abe Martin with 74 victories (1953-66).
- Patterson improved to 8-0 against the service academies (6-0 versus Army and 1-0 against both Navy and Air Force).
- The Frogs improved their record to 13-1 on Saturdays since the start of the 2005 season. TCU is 2-2 when playing on other days of the week.
- Under Patterson, TCU is now 12-4 in regular-season games following a loss.
- Since the start of the 2003 campaign, the Frogs improved to 14-7 in road and neutral-site games.
- TCU is now 4-2 or better after six games for the fourth time in six seasons under Patterson.
- A 38-yard field goal by Army's Austin Miller represented the fifth time in six games this season that TCU saw its opponent score first. Last year, the Horned Frogs were on the board first in 10 of 12 contests.
- Strong safety Brian Bonner, making his first start of the season, recorded his third sack of the year in the first quarter. He's now tied with defensive end Tommy Blake for the TCU lead in that category.
- Lonta Hobbs' first-quarter touchdown run was the 33rd of his career. He ranks second on TCU's career list. LaDainian Tomlinson is the leader with 54 (1997-00).
- Hobbs' touchdown culminated an 11-play, 89-yard possession that represented TCU's longest scoring drive of the season. It was the sixth touchdown drive of the year that covered at least 80 yards.
- Jamison Newby's first-quarter sack was his first of the season. He now has 6.5 in his career.
- Jeff Ballard's 51-yard second-quarter completion to Shae Reagan was the Frogs' second-longest play from scrimmage. Reagan is now averaging 29.3 yards on his four receptions this season.
- Two of TCU's five-longest pass plays of the year came in the first half. In addition to the 51-yard completion to Reagan, Ballard had a 31-yard connection with Quentily Harmon.
- Nick Sanders' two second-quarter interceptions represented the second-straight game he's had a pick. Sanders' second interception was returned 21 yards for a touchdown. He's the first Frog to score on an interception return since Quincy Butler against Southern Miss on Nov. 20, 2004.
- Sanders is the first Frog with more than one interception on the year. TCU has seven picks as a team.
- Chad Andrus became the fourth TCU tight end with a touchdown catch this season when he was on the receiving end of a 13-yard toss from Ballard. Frog tight ends have four scores on their 15 catches this season.
- Marcus Brock's 6-yard run was his second career touchdown and first since Sept. 9, 2004, when he scored on a 9-yard pass from Ballard against SMU.
- Prior to Brock's touchdown, TCU was successful on a fourth-down opportunity with a 4-yard run by Ballard. The Frogs are now 2-of-3 on fourth-down conversions this season.
- Marvin White's fourth-quarter interception was his second of the year and fifth of his career.
