Day Two News
A little over 10 hours after participating in their first practice of the season, the Lady Frogs were back on the hardwood at 9 a.m. for the second day of drills. The women went through nearly three hours of workouts at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
"The soreness will really start to set in a few days," senior Ashley Davis said. "I thought we had a solid practice and it seems like the freshmen are picking up on things quickly. It's important that we stay positive and continue to encourage one another."
TCU head coach Jeff Mittie said he believes the mental conditioning is where the Frogs lack.
"I think our physical conditioning is up to par this early in the season," Mittie said. "However, I think our mental conditioning has to improve. After these long practices, you'll start to see players' minds drifting away. We have to work on our focus."

Away With The Two-A-Days
At least for now, the TCU coaching staff has decided to not have two-a-days this season. Mittie cites nagging injuries and some soreness as the reason. The Lady Frogs will be back on the court Sunday for a 1:30 p.m. practice.
No Superlatives
Coach Mittie had no individual praises for anyone on the team today, although he was fairly pleased with the effort.
"No one stood out individually," he said. "The good thing is I do see this team growing together. I saw glimpses of positives from everyone today at various times. Overall, we weren't as sharp as last night, but I did see a lot of good things today."
Briefly
TCU freshman Shayla Moore and sophomore Micaela Younger were held from practice for the second consecutive day . . . The Lady Frogs are 21 days away from their exhibition debut against Lake Truck Lines (WNBA).
