
TCU's Leimbach qualifies for main draw in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. -- Sophomore Nicole Leimbach from the TCU women's tennis team qualified for the main draw at the Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Tennis Classic in Ashland, Ky., on Tuesday. The event is part of the United States Tennis Association Pro Circuit.Leimbach ousted Jenni-Lee Heinser in the first round in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Next, she took out 2004-05 TCU senior phenom Story Tweedie-Yates by scores of 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-2. In the qualifying match, Leimbach upended Raluca Ciulei, 6-3, 6-2.
Next up for TCU's top gun is Stephanie Dubois, who is the tournament's No. 5 seed with a world ranking of 142nd. Leimbach is No. 715 in the world and No. 3 in collegiate tennis.
