
Leimbach moves into semifinals

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- American Nicole Leimbach from the TCU women's tennis team moved into the semifinals of the Car City Hyundai Women's Tennis Classic in St. Joseph, Mo., on Friday. She defeated the tourney's No. 2 seed, American Raquel Kops-Jones, in the quarters 7-6(8), 6-0.Next up for Leimbach on Saturday is the tournament's No. 4 seed, American Sarah Riske, who was an All-American at Vanderbilt University. Riske is currently ranked No. 461 in the world in singles. Leimbach is rated 706th.
Leimbach will be a sophomore for the Horned Frogs in 2005-06. She played for Southern California her freshman year, earning Pac-10 Player of the Year honors and All-America status in singles.
