
Frogs Celebrate 2004 Season at Annual Spring Banquet

Cory Rodgers was given the Dan Rogers Trophy winner as the team's Most Valuable Player, highlighting the annual TCU Football Banquet, held Saturday, April 9 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.
The Dan Rogers trophy was just one of four awards that Rodgers, a sophomore from Houston was honored with on Saturday. He also was named the team's offensive MVP, the special team's MVP and the special team's point system winner.
Senior linebacker Martin Patterson was named the defensive MVP after leading the team in tackles for the second straight year.
Senior Logo Tevaseu was honored with a pair of prestigious awards. Tevaseu was given the Davey O'Brien Fightin'est Frog Award and the Grassy Hinton Most Conscientious Award.
Senior offensive tackle Anthony Alabi was named the Ralph Lowe Sportsman award. Senior quarterback Brandon Hassell was presented with the Abe Martin Leadership Award. Brad Veale was the recipient of the Y.Q. McCammon Outstanding Squadman award.
Freshmen Jason Phillips and Robert Henson were named the Most Valuable Players on the Offensive and Defensive Scout Teams respectively.
In all 23 seniors were presented with a framed jersey. They included:
Offensive lineman Anthony Alabi. Anthony received his degree in criminal justice with a business minor in May of 2004, and has completed 15 hours towards his Master's degree.
Deep snapper Clifton Alexander. Cliff will receive his degree in political science in May.
Running back Kenny Boyd. Kenny received his degree in speech communications in December.
Offensive lineman Zach Bray. Zach received his degree in speech communications in December.
Cornerback Jerome Braziel. Jerome is pursuing his degree in general studies and is scheduled to graduate in August.
Punter John Braziel. John received his business degree in May of 2004 and is currently pursuing his MBA.
Linebacker Shawn Brooks. Shawn will receive his degree in speech communications in August.
Defensive end Andrew Calovich. Andrew received his business degree in finance in December.
Safety Marvin Godbolt. Marvin will receive his general studies degree in May.
Wide Receiver Reggie Harrell. Reggie received his degree in speech communications in December.
Quarterback Brandon Hassell. Brandon will receive his psychology degree in May.
Defensive lineman Brandon Johnson. Brandon will receive his education degree in May.
Offensive lineman Chase Johnson. Chase received his degree in speech communications in December.
Tight end Cody McCarty. Cody received his degree in criminal justice in December.
Running back Billy Overshown. Billy will receive his degree in education in May.
Linebacker Martin Patterson. Martin is pursuing a speech communications degree and is scheduled to graduate in May of 2006.
Fullback Eric Schautteet. Eric received his business degree in entrepreneurial management in May of 2004.
Offensive lineman Stephen Simmons. Stephen received his criminal justice degree in May of 2004 and will also receive his Master's degree in August.
Linebacker Logo Tevaseu. Logo will receive his communication studies degree in August.
Linebacker Brad Veale. Brad will receive his general studies degree in May.
Cornerback Mark Walker. Mark will receive his general studies degree in May.
Fullback DeJuan Williams. DeJuan has a double major in marketing and entrepreneurial management. He will receive his degree in May.
Placekicker Michael Wynn. Mike will receive his degree in electronic business in May.
