FORT WORTH, Texas (Mar. 7, 2005) - For the second consecutive season, TCU point guard Corey Santee has been named to the All-Conference USA Third Team, the league office announced Monday. Santee, a senior, is averaging 14.0 points, 3.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for the Horned Frogs, who enter the league tournament with an 18-12 record on the year and finished with an 8-8 mark in C-USA play.
Santee is the school's all-time assist leader (560) and ranks second on the Horned Frogs' all-time scoring list with 1,750 points. Those figures rank third and sixth respectively in Conference USA history. In addition, Santee sits second in Horned Frog history in career steals (148) and third in three-pointers made (225).
Last month, the native of Flint, Mich., was selected to the District 9 Second Team. As one of 150 student-athletes from 15 districts, Santee is now eligible for inclusion on the NABC Division I All-American Team, which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2004-05 NCAA men's basketball season.
