Line Dance Record Attempt Falls Short

Score A Goal in the Classroom has informed TCU that its attempt to break the record for the "Largest Line Dance" during the Western Heritage Day celebration last November fell short of the record, according to the guidelines set forth by the Guinness Book of World Records.
After careful review of the compilation of video footage from the event at Amon G. Carter Stadium, it was determined that not enough participants were dancing at the same time to break the current record of 12,168 persons.
"We appreciate all those people who took part in the line dance as part of Western Heritage Day," said TCU athletics marketing director Jeff Crane. "It was a great turnout and a lot of fun. We just came up a little short of the record."
"This event was an exciting rallying of our entire community coming together to celebrate our rich western heritage," added Ernie Horn, representing Score A Goal in the Classroom. "We appreciate all that TCU did to help us stage this event and look forward to working with them again in the future."
The record attempt took place at halftime of the TCU-Tulane football game on Saturday, November 20, 2004.
