THE TCU-DUKE SERIES
TCU and Duke have only one prior meeting, which came in the 2002 NCAA Championship in Durham, N.C. It was the Lady Frogs' second appearance in a row in round two of the Big Dance. TCU hung with the East Region's No. 1 seed for the entire contest, falling 76-66 despite the hostile environment of Cameron Indoor Stadium. Former Blue Devil great Alana Beard tallied 26 points and 11 rebounds, while current senior Monique Currie put up 20 points. The Lady Frogs were led by Kati Safaritova, who scored 24 points. Ebony Shaw had 12 and Grace Gantt added 11 off the bench.
