FT. WORTH, Texas -- The TCU men's basketball team will entertain Jackson State Tuesday night at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The contest is set for a 7 p.m. matchup with both teams seeking their first win of the 2005-06 season.
The Horned Frogs look to rebound from last Saturday's 68-59 defeat to Tarleton State while JSU opened its season with a 94-53 loss at Oklahoma State on Sunday.
Tuesday's contest is the second of four with the Frogs utlizing the NCAA experimental rules by moving the 3-point line nine inches behind the current 3-point arc, widening the free throw lane by one foot on each side and placing a restricted area arc three feet from the center of the basket ring. The games are part of the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational.

GAME PREVIEW
TCU and Jackson State seek their first win of the 2005-06 season as both opened their regular season with losses. The Horned Frogs dropped a hard-fought 68-59 contest last Saturday while the JSU Tigers lost at Oklahoma State, 94-53, on Sunday afternoon.
TCU and JSU have never met on the hardwood; however, the Frogs own a 13-1 record against schools from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
The Tigers finished with a 1-1 mark in exhibitions this year. JSU defeated Spring Hill College, 73-57, on Nov. 3, but later fell to Montevallo by a 76-56 count on Nov. 10.
Jackson State is one of three SWAC schools the Horned Frogs will host this season. TCU's lone loss to a SWAC team came against Texas Southern on Dec. 28, 1988 in Fort Worth.
THE LAST TIME OUT: TARLETON STATE
TCU opened its 2005-06 regular season against Tarleton State on Nov. 19, falling to the Texans by a 68-59 score. The Horned Frogs had a pair of streaks come to an end as a 24-game winning streak in home openers was snapped. In addition, the Frogs also fell in a season opener for the first time since the 1999-00 campaign.
Under 18th-year head coach Lonn Reisman, the Texans entered the game against TCU ranked No. 1 in four Division II preseason polls. The loss to Tarleton State was the first to a Division II school since 1995-96, when TCU lost to Alaska-Anchorage 89-78.
Seniors Nile Murry and Judson Stubbs each scored in double digits in the losing effort, as Murry tallied a game-high 19 points while Stubbs added 12. Sophomore Brent Hackett had a career night with nine points.
