MJ, Elkhorn, WI: What was the transition from high school volleyball to college volleyball like for you?
Kirk: It was a higher level, it is more intense and there is a lot more expected. It has been a great experience.
Kirsten, Houston: Why did you choose TCU?
Kirk: I chose it for the academics, the location and the campus is pretty.
Kristi, Durango, CO: How do you manage to find time to study?
Kirk: It helps having mandatory study hours, but its all about time management.
Ron, Madison, WI: What are your hobbies?
Kirk: Reading, walking on nice days, finding new music to listen to and playing beach volleyball.
Kirsten, Houston: What advice would you give to someone who wants to play college volleyball?
Kirk: Play club volleyball if you get the opportunity and if you are interested in a school, email the coaches and try to make a visit.
Gary, WI: What is your favorite and least favorite things about playing college volleyball?
Kirk: My favorite is the intense competition, it is very rewarding. My least favorite aspect is the lack of social life.

FP, Weatherford: How do you like all the travel you get to do in the Mountain West Conference?
Kirk: It is fun seeing new places, but being away so much is a big challenge.
Tommy: When did you first start playing volleyball?
Kirk: 7th grade, my mom coached the junior high volleyball team. I wore sweat bands on my arms so the ball wouldn't hurt so much.
Rudy, South Bend, IN: Do you prefer playing outside or middle hitting?
Kirk: Outside is definitely my favorite, because I feel like I can contribute more.

Kirk: Genes have everything to do with it, Granddad!!
