FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team suffered a three-game defeat to Utah on Saturday night at the University Rec Center. Freshman Devon Kirk led the Frogs with eight kills, which is one off of her career high.
Senior Erin Estep and sophomore Talaya Whitfield led the Frogs in the first game with three kills and Whitfield tallied nine digs. As a team, the Frogs managed 2.0 blocks and held the Utes .163 hitting percentage.
Kirk stepped up for TCU in the second game and killed four balls. The Katy, Texas, product hit .500 for the game.
Whitfield finished the match with 17 digs and senior Hayley Harmon finished with six kills.
With the loss, TCU dropped to 15-11 overall and 3-7 in the Mountain West Conference. The Frogs will return to action on Friday, when they travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to take on the New Mexico Lobos. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m. (MT).
