ABOUT THE GAME
The TCU Lady Frogs (13-6, 4-1 C-USA) take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-12, 0-4 C-USA) Sunday at noon CST in Cincinnati in the second part of their road trip this week. TCU dropped a 63-57 decision in Louisville, Ky., Friday night to the Cardinals (12-5, 3-1 C-USA). Cincinnati is coming off a 63-56 loss at the hands of Houston (14-3, 5-0 C-USA). The TCU-Cincinnati game will be televised by the C-USA Television Network and can be seen live locally in Fort Worth, Texas, on KFWD Channel 52. The Lady Frogs are 3-1 in the all-time series with the Bearcats and have won the last two in a row. Last year in Fort Worth, TCU was down 33-27 at the half and outscored UC 46-24 in the second period to win 73-57. It was TCU coach Jeff Mittie's 100th victory with the Lady Frogs, and Ebony Shaw became the sixth 1,000-point scorer in school history. The Lady Frogs lost the only other game they played in Cincinnati by a 68-61 score.
TCU'S LAST TIME OUT
The TCU Lady Frogs had a 15-point lead at the half against the Louisville Cardinals Friday night in Louisville, Ky., but were outscored 47-26 in the second half to lose 63-57. It snapped the Lady Frogs' six-game winning streak. Coming into the game, TCU was 62-0 under head coach Jeff Mittie when grabbing a double digit lead at halftime. Sandora Irvin led TCU in scoring with 12 points and she collected 11 rebounds for her 58th career double-double and 13th of the season. Lorie Butler-Rayford had her first career double-double with 10 points and 13 boards. Natasha Lacy was the Lady Frogs' other double digit scorer with 10. Niki Newton finished with nine and Vanessa Clementino and Ashley Davis had eight.
CINCINNATI'S LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati lost 63-56 to Houston Friday night to fall to 0-4 in Conference USA play. Sancho Lyttle had a double-double for the Lady Cougars with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Joann Overstreet tallied 18 points and seven rebounds and Kiemona Harris had 11 and seven. Karen Twehues led Cincinnati with 16 points, while Micah Harvey scored 14. Houston shot 40.0 percent and Cincinnati was 39.3 percent.
