Fort Worth, Texas -
In a follow-up to last year's preseason Conference USA pick to finish seventh, the 2004 Horned Frogs return with the same prediction. No. 20 Louisville, last season's conference tournament champions and co-regular season champions, have been labeled the preseason favorite, with Cincinnati's Julie DuPont chosen as the league's Preseason Player of the Year.
In her second year at the Horned Frogs' helm, head coach Prentice Lewis guided TCU to its best year ever in 2003, tallying a program-high 20 wins and its first-ever second round appearance at a conference championship. The Frogs kick off their season Aug. 28 with an alumni match in the University Rec. Center at 6:30 p.m. CDT. The 2004 squad features seven newcomers and six letterwinners.
