
TCU Women's Golf Team Earns NCAA Central Regional Invitation

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's golf team has earned an NCAA regional bid for the ninth consecutive season, the NCAA selection committee announced today. TCU will compete in the 21-team Central Regional at the Illinois State University Golf Course in Normal, Ill., from May 6-8.
In addition to TCU, the other teams playing in the Central Regional include: No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 New Mexico, No. 9 Arizona, No. 10 USC, No. 15 Oklahoma, Michigan State, Tulsa, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Indiana, SMU, Kent State, Purdue, Northwestern, Baylor, Notre Dame, Princeton and Illinois State.
Eight of the 21 teams and the top two individuals from non-qualifying teams will advance to the 2004 NCAA Championships at the Grand National Lake Course in Auburn, Ala., from May 18-21. TCU, which won the 1983 NCAA title, is seeking the school's ninth appearance in the NCAA Championships and first since 2000.
The Horned Frogs, who finished second at the Conference USA Championship last week, are led by senior Brooke Tull, the three-time C-USA Player of the Year. The rest of the TCU team will include sophomore Traci Robison and freshmen Camille Blackerby, Catherine Matranga and Elin Emanuelsson.
