The TCU Horned Frogs are ranked 10th in the country in the pre-spring rankings, according to CBS SportsLine.com senior writer Dennis Dodd.
Dodd has this to say about TCU: "The Frogs have established themselves as the best non-BCS program going. Fourteen starters return, including eight on offense where TCU will have to shine if it is going to chase a BCS berth again."
Dodd lists Georgia as his preseason favorite to win the national title, followed by USC, Oklahoma, LSU and Florida State. Miami (Fla.) is sixth, followed by Texas, Kansas State and Michigan ahead of TCU.
Dodd also lists TCU as the top non-BCS school in the country, just ahead of Conference USA rivals Memphis and Louisville. Utah from the Mountain West Conference is fourth on the list, while Boise State rounds out the top five.
Dodd acknowledges that the pre-spring ranking is fluid and will be updated periodically during the offseason.
