TCU placekicker Nick Browne was one of three Conference USA senior football standouts named to the 2003 All-America Team by the All-American Football Foundation. Browne is joined by Southern Miss linebacker Rod Davis and defensive back Etric Pruitt on the squad. Davis was a first team selection, while Pruitt and Browne garnered second team honors.
Davis, Pruitt and Browne were among dozens of players honored to the 2003 All-America and Little All-America teams, announced by the Foundation, which has a membership that includes 165 colleges, and the AAFF President, Jimmie McDowell.
Browne was a first team All-Conference USA selection after setting a new league record for field goals in a season with 28. He led C-USA and ranked ninth in the nation in scoring with 122 points (9.4 per game). With 65 field goals in three seasons at TCU, Browne closed out his career just one shy of tying the Conference USA career record for field goals. He was also chosen as a first team Academic All-American.
