"Unbelievable..."
"You never had it so good..."
"What the cob..."
"Do it with class..."
It is certain that few will ever forget the first time that they met Jim Wacker. For most, it was an introduction that initiated an unparalleled chapter in their lives that most certainly resulted in physical, mental, and spiritual enhancement. All are better for having known Jim Wacker and a lifetime of thanks could not repay the gifts of lesson and love that he bestowed upon each of those who studied under him on the field of play and on the field of life.
In a bold stroke, the Fort Worth chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has chosen to honor the life and ongoing legacy of our former coach and will be presenting, for the first time, an annual award that is to be given in his name.
The FCA Sharing the Victory Banquet 2004 will be held on Monday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Grand Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. The Special Guest Speaker will be former Baylor Coach Grant Teaff.
This is the FCA's primary fund-raising event of the year and ticket prices are $150 per seat or $1500 for an entire table of 10. The FCA has graciously extended a special offer that would allow all former Wacker players to attend at a reduced rate of $50 per ticket.
For additional information, go to www.fcafortworth.org. For reservations, please call (817) 457-9398. In order to receive the special $50 ticket, be certain to identify yourself as a former Wacker player.
