TCU safety Marvin Godbolt has been selected as the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Horned Frogs' 42-17 win over Southern Miss on Saturday, the league office announced today.

Godbolt, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, recorded three sacks and four tackles for losses, amounting to 30 yards of lost yardage against the Golden Eagles. He also forced a fumble, broke up three passes and recorded eight tackles, including seven solo stops.

Godbolt and the Horned Frogs wrap up the 2004 regular season on Saturday, November 27, when they host the Tulane Green Wave in a 2:05 p.m. contest at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth.
