CINCINNATI (AP) - Richard Hall rushed 29 times for 143 yards and a touchdown to lead Cincinnati to a 21-10 win over TCU on Saturday.
The Bearcats (4-4, 3-2 Conference USA) scored touchdowns on three of their first five possessions and hung on despite only crossing midfield once in the second half - and that drive ended with a missed field goal.
The Horned Frogs (4-4, 2-3) had three drives into Cincinnati territory in the second half but came away with only three points.
Cincinnati took a 21-0 lead on Brad Glatthaar's 1-yard touchdown run, a 64-yard TD run by Hall and Gino Guidugli's 1-yard scoring pass to Brent Celek.
TCU made it 21-7 on Brandon Hassell's 17-yard touchdown pass to Quentily Harmon with 5:31 left in the first half.
Peter LoCoco's 20-yard field goal with 3:18 left in the third quarter pulled the Horned Frogs to 21-10.
Lococo, who missed a 35-yard field goal in the first quarter, was wide again on a 43-yard attempt to 10:06 to play. On its next possession, TCU moved to the Cincinnati 39 before Hassell threw his only interception to the Bearcats' Daven Holly.
Hassell finished 15-for-33 for 221 yards. Guidugli was 13-of-26 for 155 yards with no interceptions.
