Kinyanjui Honored By Conference USA

Mary Kinyanjui was named the Conference USA women's cross country Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.
Kinyanjui, a junior from Kenya, captured first place at the Texas A&M Invitational on Saturday, covering the 6K course in 21:34. She finished 10 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor in a field of 161 runners.
Kinyanjui's efforts helped the TCU women to a second place standing, behind only host Texas A&M, among the 16 schools competing for the title
Kinyanjui and the rest of the TCU cross country squad will enjoy an off week this weekend before resuming action on Saturday, October 4 when they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma for the Cowboyee Jamboree.
