FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Marcus Shropshire scored a career-high 17 points Monday night to lead TCU to an 84-62 victory over Stephen F. Austin.
Shropshire came off the bench to hit 5 of 7 field goals, including all three of his 3-pointers, and all four of his free throws for the Horned Frogs (2-4). Blake Adams and Corey Valsin each had 12 points for TCU and Corey Santee added 10.
TCU shot 60 percent from the field for the game and 87 percent from 3-point range. Stephen F. Austin (4-1) shot 35 percent from the field.
TCU took advantage of Stephen F. Austin turnovers, converting 17 turnovers into 30 points.
Antonio Burks led the Lumberjacks with 19 points, including 15 off of 3-pointers. Dedrick Sanders added 11.
TCU took the lead for good with 18:48 left in the first half. The Horned Frogs led 47-34 at the half.
