
Browne, Schobel Named Second Team A.P. All-Americans

TCU placekicker Nick Browne and defensive end Bo Schobel have been selected to the second team All-America squad, according to the Associated Press.
Browne, a senior from Garland, Texas, previously was named first team All-America by the Football Writers Assocation of America (FWAA) and the Walter Camp Foundation, was a second team selection by The Sporting News, and was a third team pick according to collegefootballnews.com. He also was a first team Academic All-American for the second year in a row and was named the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Year.
Schobel, a 6-5, 268-pound senior from Columbus, Texas, was a third team pick according to collegefootballnews.com and is one of six finalists for the Hendricks Award, given to the nation's top defensive end. A two-time Conference USA first team selection, Schobel set the school record with 16.0 sacks this season.
Browne, Schobel and the rest of the 19th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs will take on the 12-1 Boise State Broncos, winners of the Western Athletic Conference, in the inaugural PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl on Tuesday, December 23. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. from Amon G. Carter Stadium.
