Brian Estridge, Voice of the TCU Horned Frogs, will be hosting a special edition TCU "Frog Calls" on Wednesday night from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, site of Thursday's football contest between TCU and Southern Miss for the Conference USA title.
The Show will run from 8 - 10 p.m. CT on ESPN (103.3 FM). Frog Fans interested in talking about the big game can call (214) 787-1033 or # 1033 (Pound 1033) on Sprint cell phones. The show will feature TCU head coach Gary Patterson, Athletics Director Eric Hyman and some of the ESPN crew who will be providing the play-by-play for the ESPN telecast on Thursday.
The Frogs (10-0, 7-0 in Conference USA), winners of 12 straight games, enter the contest ranked 10th in the country according to the Associated Press and ninth in the land according to the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' poll. They were ninth in the country in both polls on October 28, 2000, the only time they've been ranked higher than this week since the end of the 1959 season. They are one of just two undefeated teams in the country, joining the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The Horned Frogs have recorded their first 10-0 start since the national championship season of 1938 by posting wins over Tulane (38-35), Navy (17-3), Vanderbilt (30-14), Arizona (13-10 in OT), Army (27-0), USF (13-10), UAB (27-24), Houston (62-55), Louisville (31-28) and Cincinnati (43-10). The Golden Eagles (7-3, 6-0) have won four straight games after opening the season with a 3-3 mark.
