Fort Worth-based RadioShack Corporation will demonstrate its support for the hometown, nationally-ranked TCU Horned Frogs football team by lighting up the downtown sky with a unique message this weekend. Joining the Frog Fever sweeping not only Fort Worth but the entire nation, RadioShack's two corporate headquarters towers in downtown Fort Worth will display a 19-story-tall "GO FROGS!" message in lights starting Friday night.
The RadioShack Corporate Headquarters (Tandy Center Complex) is located at 100 Throckmorton Street (north end of downtown) in Fort Worth. The lights can be best viewed/photographed from the west or east looking toward the downtown skyline from dusk to daylight, beginning Friday, November 13 and continuing through Sunday, November 15.
Fans across the country are supporting the nationally-ranked Cinderella TCU team as they continue their quest for an undefeated season. The Horned Frogs are currently ranked sixth in the Bowl Championship Series and are just one of two unbeaten teams in the country, joining the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
The number six ranking represents the highest ranking a non-BCS league school has ever achieved in the poll. If a non-BCS league team finishes sixth or higher in the final BCS standings, it receives an automatic at-large berth in a BCS Bowl and is eligible for the national NCAA football championship.
TCU (9-0, 6-0 in Conference USA) faces the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-4, 2-3) on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Amon Carter Stadium on TCU's campus.
