The TCU Horned Frogs have moved up two spots in the Bowl Championship Series standings released today. The Frogs are ranked 12th in the latest poll with a point total of 28.63. By moving into the top 12, the Frogs will be under consideration for a BCS bowl slot.
"It's an honor for 10 days, until we play our next game," said TCU head coach Gary Patterson. "It's a great opportunity for us. However, we know as a staff, as a team and as a program we have to win our last four games against some very good schools to have it mean anything."
The Frogs will put their 8-0 record on the line on Wednesday, November 5, when they host the 7-1 Louisville Cardinals in a 6:30 p.m. contest at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Reece Davis, Mark May, Trev Alberts and Sam Ryan describing the action.
TCU is one of just three unbeaten teams in the country, joining Oklahoma and Miami (Fla.), the top two ranked teams in the BCS standings. TCU and Oklahoma are tied for the longest current winning streak in the country at 10 games. TCU also owns an 11-game home winning streak, one shy of the school record, set from 1932-1934.
